Jack Glyshaw (1935-2025)

Jack Glyshaw was born in Michigan and moved to the East Coast with his family due to his work with the JCPenney Company. He worked at stores in NY, NJ, PA, OH and MI, serving as Store Manger at several.

Jack returned to the Michigan area with the company and then retired. He had a house built on Lake of the Woods in Bellaire, Michiagn where he lived out his retirement years fishing, puttering, and singing. He sang with his church choir and local chorus as well as with the Cherry Capital Men's Chorus for many years. He was particularly found of Barbershop Music. He is greatly missed by his children and grandchildren.

The Fall Ghost Hunt will benefit the Cherry Capital Men's Chorus in memory of Jack Glyshaw, the hosts' father/grandfather. Jack died this summer shortly after his 90th birthday. He was an avid fisherman who joyfully passed on his skills to his children and grandchildren. He had a passion for music—especially Barbershop harmony—and sang for over a decade with the Capital Cherry Chorus (of Traverse City, Michigan). Jack will be long remembered for his charismatic personality, quick wit, and genuine kindness to others. Whether through a warm smile, a well-timed joke, or a helping hand, he left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
